Your usage

Your monthly bill ÷ tariff gives your monthly units. We size the system to cover almost all of it.

Generation

Each kW receives about 4.9 peak sun hours a day in Gujarat. After an 18–20% loss due to heat, dust and wiring, that yields roughly 3.9 units per kW per day.

Cost & subsidy

We apply current market price per kW, then subtract your eligible PM Surya Ghar subsidy (homes only, capped at 3 kW).

Assumptions used (editable on request)

  • – Generation: 4.9 peak sun hours/day, 80% performance ratio (Surat baseline).
  • – Residential price: ~₹60,000/kW before subsidy. C&I price: ~₹42,000/kW (no subsidy).
  • – PM Surya Ghar subsidy: ₹30,000/kW for first 2 kW + ₹18,000 for 3rd kW = ₹78,000 max, residential only.
  • – Roof: ~100 sq ft of shade-free area needed per kW.
  • – Tariff escalation and panel degradation are netted off in the 25-year figure (~3% / 0.5% per year).
